The Old Main building of the University of Minnesota, Duluth, campus stood for 100 years. Made of red stone, it was torched by drunken arsonists one night for no good reason. Seeing the value of the historic old building, the city of Duluth decided to prop the remaining wall and leave it be, creating a lovely city park. This was the first photo taken on a roll of black & white film, during a heavy snow.

An avid traveler, birder, and photographer, my philosophy of art is simple. "Art is about seeing the joy in the everyday; the beauty in the ordinary.
