Description
Thomas Jefferson's home at the top of a small mountain in Virginia was called Monticello, literally "small mountain" in Italian. Considered the most stunning of presidential homes, Monticello was designed and half torn down, then re-designed and rebuilt because Mr. Jefferson was enlightened by the architecture of Europe.
